Alexandra Long

Key Stage 2 Teacher

Originally from Lancashire, England Alexandra studied at King’s College, London and obtained aBA (Hons) degree in English Language. Her passion for writing saw her embark on successful career as an Account Manager at a high-profile London based PR Agency, before commencing before commencing her teaching career, following the completion of a PGCE in Education at St. Mary’s College,Twickenham and then a number of years as a KS2 Teacher and Curriculum Lead at an Outstanding Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea.

After a year spent travelling and volunteering in Schools in Africa and Nepal, Alexandra spent 5 years at a British International School in Bangkok, Thailand and the last 2 years at an IB School in Dubai, UAE. Throughout her career she has taught in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and taken on a number of roles including Eco Schools Lead, Director of Social Studies, Head of CPD and Assistant Head of Primary. As a keen dancer, she has also run a number of Dance ASAs, trained students for competitions and choreographed many a School Production! Alexandra is passionate about nurturing a love of learning in all students and equipping them with essential 21 st Century skills; embedding entrepreneurship, innovation and environmentalism. In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys cooking, cycling and visiting the UAE’s beautiful beaches with her husband and two young daughters.
