Technology is creating rapid change in every business sector. Regardless of which industry you are in, be it financial, healthcare or education, technology has created a need for us to remain updated. Companies are now focusing on investing in innovation or adapting to new processes that technology has prompted. While technology may be considered an expensive investment, it provides companies with an edge over their competition. For example, in the financial sector, fintech provides ease to pay and trade. While in the health sector innovators are generating biotech, genomics and healthcare devices to improve health outcomes for individuals. The time of the virtual world is now and there is no doubt that Gen Z will improve our use of technology even further.
Today, we use e-commerce, virtual meetings and online media thanks to technological advances. Technology has made businesses more efficient, while reducing barriers to entry. This also extends to new businesses: if we know how to incorporate technology into our new business, we are off to a strong start!
Bill Gates states in his book ‘How to Avoid a Climate Crisis’ that “getting to net-zero will need enormous technology progress” – we’re all eager to see how this progresses. As is often said “old is gold but change is constant.” Innovation has driven us forward for centuries – it will now hopefully make the world a better place for generations to come.
